As it turns out, we had a LOT to be thankful for this year.
Here are just a few of our favoritest blessings:
1. I, for one, was thankful for my cute, wonderful, loving (and attractive) husband
2. AMAZING family who we love and who love us (on both sides!)
3. The gospel and a temple marriage
3. Nelson's having a great job that he enjoys
4. My being able to stay at BYU to finish my nursing degree
5. Homemade rolls!
6. Skype - so we can talk to my family afar off in Asialand
7. Our cute apartment (but not so much our awkward landlord)
8. Friends who didn't abandon us after August 5th
9. Aaaand Nelson was thankful for his iPhone
We spent our first Thanksgiving with the Wittwer side of the family, or if you're related to Nelson you'd probably call it the Nelson side (his mom's side). We went to the family cabin in Midway and ate the most scrumptious Thanksgiving meal a kid could ever ask for. EvErYtHiNg was sOoOoOo delectable - this picture doesn't do it justice. At all. It was perfect. Thanks to all of you who spent so much time preparing the feast and making the gathering all possible! (And yes... we did wear matching fall colors. On purpose. Mock if you will.)
This picture is of one of Nelson's very favorite Thanksgiving traditions: his aunt Laurie Marsh's chocolate pilgrims on a stick! They are admittedly adorable... almost to the point that you feel guilty eating them. But inevitably you will succumb and devour their little heads, and not to sound cannibalistic, but they are worth every bite! Yummm.
